LatVeneer is a Latvian birch veneer manufacturer supplying traceable, FSC®-certified rotary-cut veneer to plywood and moulded-furniture manufacturers across Europe — with peeling, drying, sorting and palletising all carried out at a single production facility.

The sheet
We manufacture spindleless-peeled birch core veneer on two production lines — 1300 mm and 1600 mm — for plywood and moulded-plywood furniture manufacturers across Europe. Two more lines are currently being installed.
As a birch veneer supplier to the plywood industry, we serve manufacturers across Europe — the Baltic states, Poland, Finland and Germany are all within reach by road or through the port of Riga, about 140 km from the mill.

The mill
Our factory is located in the industrial park of Jēkabpils, Latvia, just minutes from the birch forests we source from. Logs travel only metres from delivery to the peeling lines, while every pallet leaving our factory can be traced back to the source of its timber.
Why LatVeneer
LatVeneer was founded in 2025. In January, we signed the agreement for our facility in the Jēkabpils industrial park. Soon after, the machinery began arriving by sea — sixteen 40-foot containers filled with peeling, drying and sorting equipment.
By September, the first finished pallets were leaving the factory, and that same month we received our FSC® chain-of-custody certificate.
Our product is rotary-cut, spindleless-peeled core birch veneer made from Latvian silver birch. Production runs on two peeling lines — 1300 mm and 1600 mm — supported by a 32-metre, four-belt dryer fired with woodchips generated in our own production process. We maintain a thickness tolerance of ±0.05 mm.
Every pallet is individually traceable. We operate both the FSC® Percentage and Transfer systems and are developing EUDR due-diligence (DDS) reporting alongside them.
In 2026, the Latvian State Revenue Service awarded our company its highest A rating for 2025.
